Days like this are perfect...

We've had a couple of amazing days - gorgeous weather after some truly dismal stuff. I put the top down on my convertible several times - like a mini-vacation!

And the Phillies are starting to look like a professional baseball team, too!

I often wonder how primitive people felt when spring finally came - like they couldn't be sure, but now their faith has been vindicated.

I got on MySpace

I'm probably the oldest human being on MySpace, but a friend suggested that it would be a better way to communicate with my family than this blog. I'm not sure how to manage it - but they said it's very good for posting pictures and it's in real time - I guess that's an advantage. I don't want to lurk or be beset with my students, so I may very well exit from it if it isn't the thing for me. Any suggestions?

It's spring break!

I went outside barefoot yesterday - it was wonderful! Of course, it's supposed to yucky again this weekend - hopefully the last yucky weather until, like, November. The other wonderful thing is that it's the last quarter of the school year - the time in which I solidify everything I've been teaching all year. I write letters to every one of my seniors to be opened the morning of their graduation day, so I start on those now. Some are easy to write; others nearly impossible. I can always find something positive to say, but I really try to write a different letter to each kid. Certain groups of kids you know are going to compare their letters, so you have to be sure not to repeat any of the good stuff.
